Grand Design 337 rls question

ok take it to dealer in April to have them fix it. We did call the company and right away the guy told us he was pretty sure it is the island and it probably may be missing a few screws that attaches it to floor. So hopefully it will be taken care of. Just thought I would give the update :) Tara

thanks everyone for info and thoughts:) are home now and no other issues with the 5th. We are very pleased with it and a few people at the state park we were at in Tennessee came over and was asking how we liked it cause they had been considering one :) anyway husband emailed the company about the problem and hoping to hear soon. Well comparing my 2005 Cardinal to a new one is not very fair, but yes we love it. It has been a good trailer even with having to have frame work done. Cracks in I-beams occurred to 2004-2007 units.

Go join www.cardinalrvclub.org and ask questions there in their forum. New ones tend to be pin heavy and need duallies. Chris

Solitude Rv's are nice good looking 5er's but I never got the big deal about them besides good customer service, I have a friend with one and I like it BUT they are still on a 10in frame(everybody else has gone to 12 inch),no whisper quiet A/C,No central vac,bottom barrel TV and Surround sound,they won't arch their roof so no Ceiling fan,Again I like them but there is nothing that sets them apart from anybody else in their price range

Correct. And some new RE Rigs with a TV lift have the window also.
The fact that the rear cap removes the square corners improves mileages a bit. I went from a square corner 9K 26' rig to a 12k+ rig with caps and get better mileage.

The rear cap has nothing to do with whether or not the 5er will have windows in the back or not. It's the floor plan that determines it, and the manufacturers design team. Rear living units always have big windows, cap or not. Rear entertainment may or may not.

When I'm driving down the highway I can't see the back of my FW and when I am in the CG I don't stand behind my FW admiring how nice it looks. Adding a rear cap does not make a FW a high end unit. It's the materials and assembly workmanship that dictate the quality of the end product not how pretty it is. The automotive industry has many examples of vehicles that were very pleasing to the eye but the product as a whole was of very low quality. Now that I think about it I seem to remember a old girlfriend that fit that description.

OK, I admit it, I am far more concerned with reliability than how things look. PLEASE!! Don't tell my wife I said that.
