First post on this site. I own a construction company, I have tried all kinds of tires on my goose neck trailers. I will run only one tire now, Hankook f19 maxi vantage made in Korea. These are the only ones I have ever had that will hold up for me.
We bought a Jayco fiver last month I ordered f19 for it.
To the OP I would put f19's on it instead of converting it to17.5. They are load range G 14 PLY 7.50 x 16" 105 PSI
Better look again as Me Again says the F19 has a 3330 lb rating which isn't a good choice for the OPs 7k axles.
Sailun S637's LT235/85-16 G load range at 3750 lbs capacity.
Hankook F19 750R16LT F load range at 3330 lbs capacity
However the F19 are popular on many haulers forums for trailers with 6k axles and smaller.
