Hankook Tires

replaced the original G670's on our 2002 32' Itasca Sunrise with Hankooks from Les Schwab. At first they felt stiff and the rig seemed to wander more. We've put 6000 miles on them and I think the rig drives and handles much better than the G's that were on the rig when we bought it. The price was right too.

Tire air pressure should only be adjusted to meet the weight requirements specified in the Tire Pressure Load Chart. Adjusting tire pressure for a softer ride could result in under inflation resulting in the tire running hot and an eventual BLOW OUT !! On the other hand, over inflation can seriously impact the ability to properly steer and control the vehicle.

I've been a Forum member for 12 years and there has always been a debate about getting the RV weighed and then inflating tires in accordance with the Tire Pressure Load Chart.

My experience was the opposite. I replaced Michelin's with Hankook's also and I thought the ride was smoother. Maybe you have more air pressure in the new tires than you had in the old ones?

I did have Michelin but 3 years ago replaced front & back with Hankook. Have driven 20,000 miles since and tires perform just fine. For the weight of my MH the tires are inflated to 90 pounds per the Hankook inflation tables.

I just put 2 Hankooks on the front of my RV a few weeks ago. Seem to be ok at this time but as said, they started with 100# pressure which I lowered to 80 which is the right pressure for my weight. I also asked about a set for my suv, Hankooks would be 650 and Michelin 850. I'll check further when they're due.

The Green Machine came with Hankooks. I haven't weighed it yet so I aired up to the sidewall pressure of 110 psi. This gave me a pretty hard ride, so after reading a few tire threads here, I reduced the pressure to 100 psi. What a difference!

Unlike a Michelin I've never heard of a Hankook blowing out while parked. I'm still happy with the 6 Hanhooks on the back of my MH after a year and 8K miles unbalanced.

I am into my 3rd year with Hankook tires and couldn't be more pleases. They have been great. I will put them on again when needed.
