Heartland warranty

I'd like to welcome you as a new member. As for as the roof leaking if it is because of the caulking I'm afraid that will be on you, because most warranties state that you should check the caulking for cracks or splits on a regular basis. With the slides I'd have too say that Heartland feels they can be repaired in eight hours according too the damage report that CW gave them. I've got a feeling that CW is wanting too do it the long way and Heartland feels it can be done a lot shorter and quicker way. I'd call and ask Heartland about this personally. I'd also try and get CW and Heartland too be specific about how CW wants to do the job and how Heartland thinks it should be done. If CW can't come too terms see if Heartland can point you in the direction of another dealer. If you can find one that will work on a unit that they didn't sell, some will some won't.

Yes WE can go to the Rally I'd not though about going to the Rally but I will.

We purchase a HEARTLAND because of the research that I found from buyers was all positive. We look for a year before we purchase this RV we still like this RV.

Yes I seen some problem with the slide out, l00ks like water had gotten in between fiberglass and wood, as for as the roof it was a small leak that had to be there when I purchase the camper and took a while to get through, not a lot of damage it can be repaired with not a lot of cost, but the fact is it lasted 9 months, that does not say much for Heartland. I'm going to fix what Heartland does not pay for and may keep this camper and I may not I just want own another Heartland. You know when you get stung once you remember where the nest is.

as best I can tell the original post list 2 separate problems ... one a leaking roof and a second an issue with the camper's "slideouts" (plural) .... to determine if the roof leak should be covered by the OEM warranty the cause of the leak would need to be determined .... the same is true for the issue with the slideouts .... if multiple slides need to be removed, fixed and reinstalled, I can see repairs taking a good bit of time .... if his unit has hydraulic slides, that is most certainly possible .... I've heard far better comments about support from Heartland than I have from Camping World but without further info its difficult, if not impossible, to determine where the truth lies

What are the issues with the slide? I know a guy who side swiped tree his second time out with the fiver and banged the roof and slide up pretty good. Not a warranty issue but insurance issue. I hesitated to ask in my earlier reply!

If the selling dealer wanted 22 hours to fix a slide and was only allowed 8 hours. Me thinks the selling dealer is trying to pad the bill. Something real fishy going on here and I don't think the smell is coming from Heartland as selling dealers generally take what the factory allows for flat rate on warranty. Something's they lose but most of the times they make more.

First post ever, a complaint about manufacturer,that seems to contradict what other owners have to say. Makes me wonder if there is more to the story?

What did you do during that 9 months as far as inspecting and maintaining the roof?

I didn't think they were still putting out the Greystone line. Had s bunch of problems with our 2011 - right after the warranty ran its course. Front cap fade, slide floors soft from water.....parted with it pretty quickly.
