Turned heater on and fan came on for 15 seconds. Igniter clicked and gas light. Gas ran for 3 seconds and went off. Fan runs for 15 seconds and flame lights for 3 seconds and went off-exhaust on outside blew hot air each time. Fan never shuts off. This continued for about 10 times. Fan then shut off for a few seconds, restarted for 15 seconds, gas light for 3 seconds and shut off. Fan ran for about 15 seconds, shut off for a few seconds and then restarted and ran for 15 seconds, igniter lights gas for 3 seconds and then flame turns off. Fan ran for 15 seconds,shuts off for seconds,restarts for 15 seconds and gas relight for 3 seconds then shuts off. This continued for about 10 times then solid red light at control board comes on. There is a reset/off switch at control board. Turn off, turned to reset and sequence starts again.Error code says "Internal Control Failure". What do I do to repair?

Check the flame sensor. Sounds like its not sensing the flame and going into lockout after the 10 tries.

Also might be the control board, but I would start with the heat(flame) sensor

Check the contacts on the wires associated with the flame detector. Years ago I had similar symptoms every once in a while and cleaning contacts always resolved it.

need some more info on your Furnace model # but mine just did the same thing and at first i tried the 10 dollar igniter but that did not work but this new circuit board fixed it and easy to replace https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009TRTSAS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 BUT Charlie find the model number on YOUR furnace to get the right parts

Seems to be a common answer but heater never did not light when the trouble started. Would only stay light for 3 seconds each time. After cleaning the problem went away and then had an issue with low propane in tanks since resolved.

You can Google "troubleshooting" for your make and model of furnace or you may have received an owners manual for the furnace with your unit.

Yep. Have always kept them in place but the the spring that held it on broke and I never got around to repairing. Now have it wired in place.

As a side note: After cleaning and reassembling I found that it would ignite and heat sporadically. Stove would light and had good flame. Later found that propane tank was about 15% full. Appears that that was not enough to keep heater fully functioning. Something to remember. A full tank solved that problem.

I had limit switch went after first use of furnace. Next time wouldn't light tried 3 times and would shut down. Pulled furnace out looked at duct going into trailer it was completely squashed shut no air flow. had to take it down and rebuild a metal plenuim in our shop. Lots of air flow now and no more issues,
That little foil box they use is junk. The foam in side it got so hot first time it melted. Wish I new how to put pics on I have them all.
