Yep. Have always kept them in place but the the spring that held it on broke and I never got around to repairing. Now have it wired in place.
As a side note: After cleaning and reassembling I found that it would ignite and heat sporadically. Stove would light and had good flame. Later found that propane tank was about 15% full. Appears that that was not enough to keep heater fully functioning. Something to remember. A full tank solved that problem.
