Here We Go Again Hopefully!

Yes it goes under the TV. In the Prairie Schooner that was exactly like this one inside, floor plan, etc., it was under the TV. I have decided to have the dealership go ahead and put it in and it will be ready for our PDI first of January. I wish we could get it sooner, but they have to order the Fireplace and the dealership is closing on December 20 until January 1.

I just can't say how HAPPY I am to be back on this forum!

Of the 22 post here only 3 answered the OP's question, "where to get a fireplace." Your opinion on the idea was not ask so why give it?

Very nice rig. Looks to be in good shape for 10yrs old.

we just bought a Montana 36.6 5er and it has fireplace that was installed after the fact, it is a DIMPLEX and it does not have a separate outlet you just have to turn off the fireplace when using the toaster oven, although we also use two other electric heaters to keep warm it is low 17 and a high 37 where we are and hope to be heading south at the end of this month. I think you can check out Lowe's.

WE DID IT! We put the offer in for the Yellowstone and the seller agreed! This was a consignment thru the dealership, but we got them down ALOT! We have been looking at this unit for the last several months and today we came to an agreement! Here is the link for the unit! The unit for being almost 10 years old is in absolutely new condition! We did get it for under NADA which took months of on and off negotiation!

We did not get the fireplace for now, but in a couple months, we will have it installed at the dealership's cost. We are SO EXCITED!

You should have made that part of the deal.....they had to install the fireplace for the price you agreed on.

DH put ours in. We bought an electric fireplace from Home Depot. It was cheaper to get a whole kit with the cabinet than just the firebox. I think we paid less than $200. The firebox unit was separate from the cabinet which we gave away. DH put in a separate breaker for the dedicated circuit, installed an outlet and we were set. It was a good heat solution for us last winter when we were at a park that didn't meter electricity. i'm not sure how it would have penciled out if we were being charged for usage. Yes, it does take up more room than an equivalent space heater, but if you want a fireplace, you want a fireplace. Congrats on the new fifth wheel.

Check out the BTU of the fireplace and then go to Lowes, WalMart, Home Depot, etc. and you can find a small ceramic electric heater with the same BTU's for probably $25-35. Need heat, plug it in turn on. Don't need heat, store it away and you still have all the storage area that you would lose if you install a fireplace.
Not to mention an extra $600 in your pocket.
