UPDATE - I received the pads which were about 1/16" thick. Pulled the pins, unbolted my rail legs, pried up the hitch and installed the pads, re-bolted the rail legs and torqued. Took about 15 minutes. Towed the trailer over Mount Hood and back with zero clunking. My confidence level as to how long the pads will last is low as I only have about 1 square inch of engagement on each pad. Other hitches will probably differ.
