Best wishes to your daughter and family. Those issues are obviously far more important than nearly anything discussed around here regularly.
That said, yeah the new crop of trucks is tall. I had to axle flip my older fifth wheel to make it sit level and have sufficient rail clearance with my 2015 Ram. I got nearly 6" of lift from the flip and needed every bit of it.
