Honda 3000is generator

We just got back from camping for a week at Lake Tahoe. Weather was in the 80s.
My EU3000 WOULD NOT RUN my 13500 A/C at 6,300 elevation. No problem starting but the A.C would nearly shut down after 5 or 10 min. This with ref off etc. Should have shut the convertor off also. Runs great at sea level with ref and etc on.This was on a 2012 TT. I may go back to two EU2000 which I had.
