Honda 3000is

I have a EU3000IS, it runs my Coleman 13,500 AC fine but when I put it on Eco, it will not cycle. Do you think a hard start will help and which one should I get for a 30 amp system. Thanks very much in advance.
  • Hello, I saw the link, but just wanted to be sure. Thanks for all the help.

Assuming you bothered to check those pics I linked to you'd know the SPP6 is added to the existing run capacitor. ;)
  • What do you mean the A/C will not cycle? It shuts off when the thermostat tells it has reached the set temp but will not start up again when it needs to start the compressor again and the generator goes into overload?

  • Thank-you for the fast replies. Do you remove the old one or just connect both together?

Adding a hard start cap such as a Supco SPP6 is always a good idea but there are nonetheless still too many variables to guarantee that doing so will achieve what you want. Try it, nothing to lose.

    +1

I had exactly the same issue. Installing the kit took 10 minutes, cost less than $20 and solved the problem.
