How do you carry your bicycles?

What warranty? If your trailer is more than a year old warranty is probably over. I built a bolt on hitch platform and pads for the rear stabilizers. The original pads were flimsy sheet metal boxes that bent after one trip. So it was a no brainer. Worked for 13 years for me with only one issue. Bought a decent hitch mount bike rack. As an option years ago we had a bike stand that we placed inside with 4 bikes. When we got to our site it went outside for the bikes to park.

I disagree with Bessie. A quality bicycle should never be carried on the front of a TV.

If you search the forum, you'll find many posts on this. Find a good hitch receiver that bolts or welds onto the frame of the fifth wheel. DO NOT use a receiver that uses U-bolts on a square bumper - you will end up dragging your bike(s) down the road by one weld or a security cable. Our fiver came with a frame-mounted receiver and we have an RV-certified Swagman bike carrier with our two comfort bikes on it.

Years ago I built a 2" receiver hitch for my 5th wheel to accommodate a 6 bike carrier that I also built. It worked very well.

We use a Curt front mount receiver on our truck along with a Swagman XC2 bike rack. It took less than an hour to install the receiver using existing frame holes. I like being able to see our bikes. And no it does not block our view of the road or effect cooling at all

Long bed or short bed?

I used to remove the quick remove front wheels and lay two adult bikes in the bed in front of the hitch of my long bed. Later I made a pin box bike mount. Mounts using pin box bolts so no mods required to my 5th Airborne pin box. Easier and quicker and keeps the bikes up and out of the way when not used. Can carry three, and maybe four, bikes. Don't know that either would work if you have a short bed.

This is the best solution IMHO. I got some 1/4" X 4" X 6" steel angle marked and cut, and had a local fabricator wield these up to a 2" receiver tube. I then mounted this on the 5ers pin box.
