Husky Hitch Opinion

Hi,
I am considering a 16K W series Husky hitch for my new Cyclone due in June. Anyone have an opinion on Husky hitches especially the W series (they have a single jaw clamping system).
TIA
John

  • We have a 16k Single Jaw Husky hitch that we have pulled our last two 5th Wheels with.
Good hitch, solid construction and like the single jaw, no worry about it coming open
  • We have a new Husky 16K "S" slide bar type.
No problems with a Greystone 32RE hanging on it.

I wanted the W articulating type.
The place I bought the hitch from said "don't bother".
No real advantage other than easier un-hitching on not so level places.

The "experts" at the place I bought from guaranteed that I'd probably do bed rail damage eventually with the fully articulating hitch also.
    I trust their recommendations.
Bought from Allied trailer supply in Sacramento for $325.00 (no rails).

    Overall happy with Husky.
  • Been towing my 5'vr with Husky 16K hitch full time for 6 yrs.
    4 way pivot
Very easy to visually check hook up
And one reason I got it was because of the single jaw that wraps king pin

My previous hitch was an older Husky (Valley) hitch.......used it for many years.
    Good hitches.
  • B&W Patriot 2 jaws that completely encircle the king pin = no hitch clunk
