I Think We Made A Mistake - Advice on This

As some of you know, DH and I purchased a 2004 Gulfstream Yellowstone 30 FSK. Picked it up about 2 months ago. The unit is in pristine condition - absolutely nothing wrong except - we have found it way too small for us and not enough storage - especially in the kitchen.

So, went "looking".....just looking (yeah, you all know how that goes)
and we found a 2013 Keystone Cougar 327RES - new and clearanced out. They are giving us a great deal and what we paid for the Gulfsteam, so we are really not losing any money (except the stupid tag cost).

My question is - what do you all think of Keystone Cougar? I have read good and bad. Any comments?

What bothers me the most on this is that we thought the Yellowstone would work, and we love it, but we made a mistake. Has this happened to anybody?
  • Try keystonerv.org forums for more hands on experiences from owners.
  • If you like it that's all that matters. The Cougar is a good camper and no means the top of the line. We have a Laredo and love it.
  • We're on our 3rd TT in 12 years now. Nothing wrong with changing your mind about things. Considering you're getting most of your original purchase price back on the trade, I'd say you did pretty well.

Cougar? Well, here in Indiana they are a very popular brand. Lots of them around, and see lots of young families that own Cougars. Personally, I think they are a pretty good brand. I say that because I see so many older ones still on the road.

Cougars are OK in my opinion and affordable for young families. They fit the need for lots of people. I'd probably consider one if I was interested in a 5er.
  • I had a Cougar fiver 2 rigs back (2002 I believe). We liked it and it was almost trouble free. YMMV. Good luck.

I think somebody said that you have to buy three rigs before you get the one you really want.
