Rookie Mistake - need advice

Parked the trailer, had the post come down on two pieces of wood to get it high enough to unhitch from our truck but then top piece of wood split so we knocked it loose. It now occurs to me that we aren’t going to be able to raise the trailer high enough to get it back onto the trailer hitch. My husband said we’ll figure it out when it’s time to leave but I’m obsessing and worrying now. Suggestions how to solve? The trailer is an R-pod.

    Use your truck jack to raise the tongue, replace the blocks, have a beer and relax!

    The stabilizer jacks can support the trailer for a few minutes while you raise the tongue jack enough to put another block under it.

    Thanks! Never thought of that! It’s our first trip (Ga to Me) and probably not my first dumb mistake! Birthday is tomorrow and I can now celebrate with one less worry! Thanks again

    Use the two front stabilizer jacks to raise it up enough. Raise each one an inch or two and then do the same to the other. Keep going back and forth.

    You don’t have to raise the stabilizer jacks, just crank in the one on the hitch and it’ll set on the stabilizers, lower the front one until you can get a new piece of wood under it then crank back up to tight.

    Is doing a walk around to check everything and then drive away while still hooked to shore power a dumb story?
