Why would you want to have that black hose hooked up when not flushing :h Generally its a once a week affair dumping the black tank. I don't see any inconvenience to hook it up to flush.
It seems having that hose hooked up is inviting disaster . My hose is nowhere near a water supply when not in use,and this thread confirms what I have always thought what could happen , but from the sounds of this thread its common practice to leave the hose connected . IMO it would be good practice to have the hose no where near a water supply when not it use . I think there is a lesson to be learned here .
To the OP sorry that this had to happen, and hopefully you will get things straightened out.
