In the market for a toy hauler!

I have many tools and an avid hobby kind of guy. I would be lost without a space for those kinds of activities. I have had quads/motorcycles and have passed those along for now. I like the idea of the toy hauler design and my Dodge dually is paid for. I now have to get a hitch in it and thanks for any advice...I already have learned some things. A lot of choices out there so any advice is good learning! Thanks for any input.

We are happy with the features, quality, and workmanship in our "pre-owned" Carriage C-Force toy hauler. It has a separate garage which becomes a "screen porch" when the bikes are on the ground - a place for boots and gear etc.

We are very happy with our B&W hitch system in the truck. We had the Turnover Ball hitch already installed for goose-neck work, then added their 18K rated Companion fifth wheel when we bought the Carriage C-Force.

Me either. We take a Honda Valkyrie Interstate with a sidecar in the garage. No noisier than most cars. Certainly quieter than a LOT of the truck tow vehicles out there!

As I said, I knew this ahead of time and planned accordingly.
Both times it was a overnight stop midway between destinations with no options other than the Wal Mart parking lot.

Full time I would want the separate garage just for the fact you could lock things in it while gone ? I agree with fj12 about not supporting someone that doesn't support our hobby.

Not an issue with me, I won't stay at a place that won't allow motorcycles, even if I don't have bikes with me. No reason to support the policy in any way.

The reason I said separate garage, we have been to 2 campgrounds that did not allow any OHV's or motorcycles. I knew this ahead of time and put my D S bike in the truck, with a fiver this would not be possible. I normally would not camp at a place that prohibited bikes/OHV's, but we use our rig for other things besides riding. We went riding for a few days then fishing for a few more in one trip.

Yes and no. :) I have a Fuzion 383, a toyhauler without a separate garage. We have a wall that pivots when the bikes are out. Works fabulously for us.

What are you going to carry? Are you going to be stopped for long periods? Do you spend a fair amount of time indoors?

If you don't mind the smaller interiors then a separate garage will work, if you want larger space then go the other way. When I'm not traveling I want as much interior space as possible, and a separate garage won't do for me. When I don't have the bikes inside I want to reclaim my garage space.
