We have a bolt-on receiver on the rear bumper of our 5ver.
Total weight is around 75 pounds with bike rack and bikes on.
It's pretty solid...IMO it could probably hold twice the weight.
I would be concerned if the weight rack extended more than a foot from the bumper.
Firewood would be pretty heavy.
