  • Also the rate varies a lot with higher deductibles. Maybe your $920 is a low deductible like $250. Call around, maybe if it would work for you (as far as you being comfortable with the risk), check on a $2000 deductible.

This issue comes up all the time here and is near impossible to compare. That is because rates vary so much in different areas of the country and from state to state. Best advice is to get quotes from several companies in your area and include an independent agent who can quote different companies.
And as for Amica, they have never been competitive with my quote searches here.
And IMO, you should get comparisons at least every 3 years. You will be surprised how much rates change.
  • That is more than I pay for 2 cars, a motor home, a fiver and a 4 wheeler

When I got insurance qoutes this past December Amica was one of the most reasonable ones. I would look at your policies closely, maybe you have un-necessary coverage's. If you are not already bundling, do so, it helps a lot. How is your driving and credit rating, that counts as well.
I sent requests for quotes to 6 insurance companies, here they are from cheapest to most expensive. The difference between cheapest and most expensive was about $540/yr.

  • It is nearly twice what I pay for full coverage on my 2014 Elkridge 37 Ultimate.
  • Ditto Amica like Geico has to pay for all those TV commercials. We have Allstate, not that they don't their fair share of commercials, But seem to be a little bit more reasonable. We have the 5'er, F-350, and the wife's Ford Focus, and a cargo trailer.
  • We are with Geico and have our 5er insured for full time, full coverage plus 5K for personal goods, full replacement cost for 5 yrs. Full coverage on a 2017 Hyundai Elantra and full coverage on our TV, a 2016 Ram Dually,( see sig) and yearly premium is $1400 for all three.

  • Uh, yes. That's what we pay semi annually for our Fiver, TV, and three other cars - a Jeep, a Volvo, and a Ford Freestyle. Allstate.
