Interior door jamb broken

The passage door jamb is made of plastic and has broken on the door lock side. Are those available anywhere or does one fabricate a brace or replacement on your own? Any help is appreciated. Trailer model is in my signature. Thanks TomC
  • I had a bad door latch on our Cameo. Carriage is out of business just like Fleetwood (who Produced your rv) is out of business. I looked all over and finally after checking with a lot of rv dealers discovered it was made by Challenger Doors. They made the door and the latch. Went to my dealer he called them and they said yes we had problems with that latch, so sent you one under warranty. Now my door works perfect. I said all this to tell you look at screen door, entry door, baggage doors and check for any tag or any name. On my Cameo all doors were built by Challenger. Even though Fleetwood is gone the door company is probably in business. If they are like Carriage doors are probably, and latches made by one manufacture. Internet worked for me. Or maybe you just repair it. Good luck.
  • I can probably repair it with a brace strip of wood and some good glue. Was just hoping it was some standard, universal type part.
    Thanks for the help!

  • you unit is a 98 and probably too old to find parts from the manufacture. you might try some of the rv salvage places around the country. type in rv salvage and start calling them. most have 800 numbers.
