Is a long bed a requirement for pulling a 5th wheel?

That was my thought, too. I =still= can't figure out, with the huge #'s of snowbirds here, why there isn't a major, multi-dealer, RV show here in the Nov/Dec time frame. Quartzite doesn't count, as that's been basically a single-dealer show, too. I went to one last year, over at Diablo Stadium in Tempe to look at a couple specific FWs and have regretted ever since not taking more time to look at others, as well. I sure hope they do it again.

I found the opposite with the Avondale La Mesa service being excellent and not so good at Mesa. Might depend on your service agent you get.

Almost all of the RV shows in Phoenix are put on by La Mesa with no other dealers present. These are the ones often at the Civic Center or at the Cardinals stadium in Glendale. They have a show almost every month. It is nice to look at RV's indoors this time of year!

Pretty easy decision for me....SB fits in the garage, LB does not.

There it is short and sweet. I don't know why I usually read all the long bed, dually, diesel type threads. My needs are taken care of by a short bed crew cab gasser. They all work, it just is what your requirements are.

I would definitely recommend a long bed, it gives us extra storage space for equipment plus it allows for a large tool box/extra fuel tank behind the cab.

I have to agree with KW. The improved ride due to the longer wheelbase makes it worth the occasional parking problem.
