I totally agree with using the clutch instead of the brakes. However, I totally DISAGREE with leaving the engine off. If you do that, you run the risk of turning the engine backwards which could seriously hurt things.
Help me understand why you should NOT use your brakes backing out...:?
Maybe I will learn something here...
If you try to use your REAR brake you have your foot off the ramp = bad stability.
If you try to use your FRONT brake, it will slide, especially if the ramp is damp.
