New member must never have unloaded a full size touring bike from a steep ramp. Two feet down the bike slides backwards. Plain and simple on rough non skid surface. Holding the front brake only and the bike still slides backwards to the bottom of the ramp. Been there and done that. There is no bunny hopping involved with one foot down one on the rear brake and one on the front brake. If you know how to ride you will inch back safely supporting the bike with your left leg just like at a traffic light. I lean just a tad more for greater stability. Oh I am a rookie.. I have only been riding in the area of 50 YEARS. I also hold several advanced driving certificates including advanced police motorcycle training. Some of the toughest training anywhere. I know how to ride well.
The idea of backing up the ramp doesn't work either. The bike is just too heavy. They weigh about a thousand pounds when gassed and personals in bags. Using the reverse and it still will not pull up the ramp. Its too heavy and the ramp is too steep. You must drive it in and back it out. Smaller bikes I suppose one could push it backwards up a ramp.
