The 6.0L is a powerful engine. As long as you aren't overloading the truck, you have a solid tow vehicle. But there are lots and lots of variables which you need to take into account. GAWR, GAWF, GCVWR, Tongue weight, GVWR of both the truck and the trailer, the hitch you use, the tires and other items. Also, it depends on your towing conditions. If you are pulling mostly mountains, or mostly flat lands. I used a '04 6.0L 4 speed Chevy 2500 for the last 9 years with no problems. It just didn't have the torque or HP that I needed for heavy mountain towing.
