When u say closet faucet are you implying the lines installed for possible washer and dryer

Close ALL the faucets


Then with pump ON open the hot side of closest faucet until water flows.
This allows pump to prime.....fill water heater tank and pump thru hot lines.

Then you can purge air from cold side and then go to other faucets/shower/toilet etc. one at a time

If you have an antifreeze siphon line check to make sure the valve isn't open to the siphon side.
