Jayco Jay Flight whistling noise

I have my fifth wheel at my parents stored for the winter. My brother stopped out there and said my fifth wheel was making a whistling sound from the inside. He traced it to the power panel which was left on. He turned it off and it quit making the noise. What could this be I wonder? Its about a hour from me so I won't get out there for a while. Just wondering what you think this could be? I do have it plugged in to my parents power. Seems really weird that the power panel would be making this noise, is this some kind of warning alarm? Thats what it sounded like on the phone.

that would be my guess also, just another reason why I do not leave my trailer plugged in all the time.

  • Propane detectors will warn of low voltage. Mine beeps once every 30 seconds.
  • Our Jayflight would make a chirping noise when the battery power got low. We thought there was no draw on the batteries when it was just sitting, but found the radio was actually drawing power if we didn't take the face plate off. We were also told to activate the battery cut off switch when it wasn't being used. I don't remember if the chirping was coming from the electrical panel or the smoke / CO2 sensor, but it was definitely when the batteries had lost their juice. Hope that helps.
