Whistling Truck
I have actually read a similar conversation a long while back but not sure in which forum, tried a search here but unsuccessful.
So, I took the newly delivered truck (Sierra 2500) for a break-in run today, and at speeds above about 80kmh, there is a discernible whistling sound emanating from what appears to be the roof of the cab.
Being a 2500, the truck has cab roof lights (which I did not even want but....), and I suspect the noise is coming from them (but I have not conducted any real examination yet). Weird thing is the sound is intermittent and will disappear and re-appear without any apparent pattern (even at the same speed).
I have had a few previous trucks (all without the lights) and none exhibited this.
Has anyone experienced similar, and/or know how to correct?
Your help is appreciated,
Marv
