JT Strongarms on 6 point hydraulic w/ auto-level???

Just sold our bunkhouse 5th wheel which had JT Strongarms on it. In my opinion the Strongarms were the best add on we did. Looking to upgrade to a Heartland Cyclone toy hauler (most likely 4100 king) and will order with the 6 point hydraulic auto level. My question is are Strongarms needed with a 6 point hydraulic system. Thanks.

The Heartland Cyclone 4100 King is a very nice unit and I hope to own one someday! Can't go wrong with quality.
  • Our 2013 Palomino Columbus 365RL (39'7") came with both the 6 point auto leveling system and the JT Strongarms. Were they needed? I don't know but I do know the coach is rock solid. And it only takes about 1 minute to tighten the "T" lock handles.
  • Our 39' Montana has the 6 point leveling system and requires no additional support. It is solid with no bounce.
  • Our 37'8" Cedar Creek has the 6 point Level System that we love (one of the reasons we upgraded from our Montana) but we have a bit of a bounce when walking in the back third (LR area)that we don't really like. We've bought some scissor jacks that we'll set up in the rear of the rig whenever we stay in one place for awhile. (We're not attaching them permanently since we don't want to worry about them hanging too low in the back when traveling.) We came to the conclusion that with the rear levelers being behind the wheels, on a longer rig there is enough floorspace cantilevered off the back end unsupported that you don't get a solid feel back there when moving around. We haven't actually used them yet other than testing them in the yard, but it appears to be a solution for us.
  • I just had the 6 pt system installed at Booneville RV and I LOVE IT! I don't have to worry if I'm level or not, let the computer blow it's mind.
  • I have a Lippert Four point system that came with JT's on the front only. I wanted back support on the rear legs and having had Steady Fast on my last trailer, I bought a single bar to put on the rear and made it a hybrid system. The reason I went with the steay fast was I don't think there was a mid anchor point for the JT's on the rear where my legs are located (side to side). I'm really pleased with this set up and can tell right away when after set up if I forget to tighten the screw on the steady fast.
  • The strong arms are not needed, if there is movement in a 6 point hydraulic cylinder like there is in a electric landing gear, you would have a real problem....
