Keystone Laredo

Hello, I am looking at buying a new still on the lot 2016 Laredo. Can I get some advice as to the quality of the build on these? Are these a higher end camper or more of an entry level?

  • I had a 2003 Laredo 29BH. Sold it in 2015 when I upsized. It was a good camper with no complaints during the time I owned it.
  • Our first 5er was a Laredo rear kitchen model. We had no complaints about it, we were just ready, after 3 years use, to upgrade. It was considered then, and I believe now, a mid level trailer. Hope this helps.
  • Click here... to go to the Keystone Web site. At the top, click on the Travel Trailer tab. You will see there are 3 levels of campers on their site:

    Standard - Select - Premium

The Laredo fall in the "Select" section.

That tells me it is a mid-range camper.

I can't say I've ever really taken the time to step inside a Laredo, although I have been in quite a few. But considering it falls in the mid-range, same as my Outback, I will say, my Outback is a pretty darn good camper! I would put the Laredo in an equal status as the Outback (and others there.)
  • We've had our 2010 Laredo since new and use it at least 10-12 outings per year. No complaints ... every once in a while we opine that we should have gotten the next size up for a coat closet, kitchen pantry, a little more floor space in the living room area ...

but no issues with the build, in general.
  • I believe they are an entry model Keystone, the hire-end units are Montana units. But Keystone overall are good units. We have a 08' Montana, and use it quite often at least one week a month. The only problem we found is that you cannot get parts directly other than door or cabinet keys, any thing else you have to go thru a Keystone dealer. Good Luck and Happy Camping !!
