Lake George RV Parks- with nice size parkin spaces

We are thinkin about going to Lake George last week of June 2019 for 10 days - we have never been there but I have heard some parks have real close camping spaces. Can anyone recommend any RV parks in that area that are not too crazy with small children and have a nice area where there might be water side camping areas? Please Im looking for some feed back to my Camperhead friends out there please. Any suggestions?? We have a 35ft 5th wheel.

  • Agree w/ Moose Hilllocks sites on being H-U-G-E and more/less private between sites !!! It is however not near any body of water. By far, our favorite park in the area.

LG RV park as menetioned, sites are close to one another, multi pools and indoor hot tub along w/ indoor area for adults only to relax. Indoor theatre for acts, lots of things for kids to do. Has a man made pond on grounds.

Ledgeview, sites are somewhat close to each other. LOTS of seasonals, Has a pool and I think is near a lake, but don't think any sites are on it. IMO, lil less kid friendly.

LG Escape in Warrensburg has sites on the Schroon River. 2 pools and had adult only time in pool like 6-7 or 7-8pm. Lots of kids stuff. CG offers tubing rides on the river. Other sites are off river and 1 area kinda tucked back some off the road. Sites somewhat close together.

Alpine Lake CG (west of LG) has tons of seasonals, sites on top, of each other and DOES sit on a lake.

Expect to fork over about a buck a nite (as in $100.00).
  • Stayed at Moose Hillock in July for a week nice park huge sites. Pool was big but only had two slides that were small and always busy.
  • Moose hillock has huge sites with space between and a huge pool with water slides but that's about it.
Lake George rv park has quite a few sites that are tight and lots that are fairly large. This year we stayed on the outside of the outer loop, not much shade but lots of space. They also have indoor and outdoor pools and a small water "park". But they have so much else to offer.
