Landing gear cross braces

A lot of felt movement is dependent on the 5th wheel. Long, tall, heavy 5th wheels are more likely to have movement that is annoying. Especially ones that have a lot of ground clearance leading to lots of leverage on the stabilizers. We have the JT Strongarms. Drinks would slosh out of our cups without them. :)

Thanks for all the replies. We plan to try a couple of outings and see how things go.

Only way a JT strong stabilizer can't work is not knowing how to set them up. Awesome deal for us.

Like ljr ours came with JTs. Like ljr, we think they make zero difference. Have spent 6 years in the rv and are used to the movement and don't even set the jts anymore.

I never have quite understood all the "bellyachin'" about a little movement. We don't even put down the stabilizers anymore.

There are 2 different kinds of users here. We're coming out of a tent. Movement will be ok for us as weekend type campers. If I'm full timing it, I'd probably want more stability. It does depend on usage and how much money you're willing to spend.

Dutch did put a Bi-Pod up and also added additional rear arm jacks over those years but there was still too much interior movement from walking and it was especially bothersome in the wind.

The tripod will stabilize the front jacks, the rear stabilizer jacks will take care of the overhang behind the axels and the bottle jacks will ground the frame hence eliminating the suspension.

Ditto.

Mine came from the factory with J. T. Strongarm but I really don't see that locking them has any effect. Since I wasn't bothered in the 1st place, perhaps I'm just not sensitive enough to movement for me to notice.
