Landing jacks
This is my first post on here so I will try to describe my issue here.
I have a 2001 Forest River Sandpiper 37 foot toy hauler. Yesterday I got the trailer hooked up to my truck to get ready for the holiday weekend. My landing jack on the left side wouldn't work properly on the way down. In an attempt to investigate what the problem I found a broken gear. No problem right? Wrong. None of my local RV places (3) have any idea what jack system I have.
I will try my best to describe it here as I don't know how to attach pictures on this forum.
On top of the gear box on the jack it's self is a round pin type thing. When the jack worked properly it had yet another pin that slide in the middle up and down. I took that cover off and found the broken gear. This is not a beveled gear like some of the stuff I have found for Atwood landing gear replacement
These jacks appear to be OEM to the trailer but they have NO markings on them. I can't seem to find any match on the internet either.
I have a call into the Forest River plant in California but I have not gotten a return call yet from the service department. I know I can't be the only one with these type of jacks, so I am turning to you RV experts on here.
Any help would be appreciated as I currently have the trailer on the truck and can't get it off until I can repair the gear or whole jack.
