Leaking hub seal on the spindle repairable if damaged? Pics

Long story short, these are brand new axles I bought from a dexter distributor fully assembled. At the first brake adjustment I noticed grease all around the hub and could see the seal leaking through...

There is a sleeve product that can be driven onto the axle seal area to remedy the damage. Chicago Rawhide is one supplier. The seal area would have to be measured with a micrometer to determine the size of the sleeve. This repair has been around for decades and is a reliable repair. But hopefully Dexter or the dealer will come thru with a new axle.
