Hey folks, looking for a bit of advice. I just parked and wrapped my Rockwood 2659WS for the winter. Looked good, and although my every urge is to haul it out every nice weekend, it is winterized and winter WILL be here soon.Now my problem. After all the work of covering it and bundling it up tight, I drove by a couple days later and realized that I had somehow not leveled it properly. End to end level, side to side has a tilt. It is even (ie: low side same front to back) so I am not real worried about warping the frame, but still have misgivings. I know how I did it in retrospect, and could unwrap, hook up and adjust, but not excited about the prospect.Will it hurt the rig?

I don't see how that little big is going to hurt anything. I wouldn't worry about it.

I think when I dropped my front landing gear, the left side was one hole shorter on the leg. Rear stabilizers drop left first until it hits ground, then right. (power front and back) I would have to take weight off front gear, drop the leg one notch, then lower it. Cant do that without hooking up. I may just do that this weekend for peace of mind, just been cold and windy.

If it bothers you, by all means level it. But it won't hurt a thing - only the refrigerator if it was running.

I try to level...but do not think that’s important. I also like to “unload” the suspension,but...that’s difficult (unless you have hydraulic leveling) and also “not” overly important!

As level as possible for no other reason than water drainage. If it is listing to one side water can drain down the side onto the slide top then inside down walls onto the floor.

During a "Campfire" conversation one individual commented that fore and aft leveling (or close) should be accomplished during storage to prevent the refrigerator from vapor locking, as the ammonia could settle allowing an air gap to develop. Level side to side makes no difference and will not adversely affect anything. Not convinced of the validity of this claim but it made for interesting conversation.

i would not worry at all about it being off level as long as the fridge isn't turned on.

I just assumed that all rv’s were designed to drain, when parked level. Ours has a slope to rear and a crown running lengthwise. But, it doesn’t matter except when in use...it lives in the pole barn otherwise!

If there is no power to anything, nothing running on propane, and all systems are off and shut down, off level will not hurt anything.

Without a cover I'd be sure that it is level for water run off. With the cover no issue with being off a bit so long as water cannot puddle anywhere on the cover.

It is not like a boat which is designed to self drain, provided it is level on its lines. Many a boat has been 'sunk' on land because owners have not stored them level & water drains to the bilge where it cannot get out.
