Level Up Auto Hitch

I have a question that wasn't answered during my inspection. If you hit the auto hitch button does it raise the back four jacks then set the front of the trailer, or do you have to manually raise those jacks then hit the auto hitch? Thanks for the help.
  • Mine raises the rear 4, then raises the front to the height it was at when auto level was hit.
  • On my 6 point system, the front landing gear goes up AND the rear legs move to compensate, so when ready all 6 legs are still on the ground..
  • I have a 2017 Silverback and it leaves all six on the ground.

Mine too. Then once you are hooked up just select retract all and let it do its thing.
  • In week three of the 201 course on the level up system they cover things like this. AND I still have to keep a cheat sheet next to the control panel. Maybe after the 301 course this fall when we head South I will do better. BTW the same courses apply to the systems on all brands of 5th wheel trailers with the Level Up System.

    Enroll now.

  • Thanks for the replies I am hitching up today so I will give it a shot and hopefully all goes well. Didn't know we had to go to school to learn this system! lol.

Chris, what are these courses? they sound like something that would benefit a bunch of people
  • They are offered from the North American Learning Curve RV College, in I can not move RV Park! Most parks offer the extension course and there is a home and storage lot course available also.
  • For whatever reason, the technician doing our walk through suggested that we stay on manual rather than using the auto re-hitch feature. We have followed his suggestion since owning the trailer, so the sequence is 1) retract rear jacks fully then 2) raise front jacks to estimated height to re-hitch. On our Pullrite Superglide, I think the height to re-hitch is a little lower than the unlock/unhitch height since the kingpin needs to "ride up" on the hitch plate to properly contact and trip the trigger on the pin jaw. May not be right for everyone, but it has worked well for us.
