Hey this brings up a question I had on the auto levelers, I currently dont have them but would like too in the next fiver. What I do now is I would put the chocks between my wheels then unhitch. What do you guys do with the auto levelers if its bringing the wheels off the ground? Are you not afraid then when the levelers come back down that you might slide either frontwards or backwards? I guess Iam trying to figure out how to use them before I get them.

Chock the tires, both sides, then auto-level. Do not touch any of the chocks after leveling. The tires will drop right back down into them when the jacks are raised.

Our 2005 Montana did not have the Lippert LevelUp system, but our 2015 does. It is amazing to watch the trailer dance from front to back and then side to side leveling itself. This came standard on our new Montana.

We just purchased a toy hauler with 6 point leveling. I noticed that after leveling, the x-chocks needed to be re-tightened quite a bit. It doesn't lift the wheels off the ground, or maybe my parking spot isn't that unlevel. While I never had a problem leveling our previous 5th wheel, I have to admit that I'm going to really like the automatic leveling system.

The auto-leveling system won't bring the wheels off the ground on BOTH sides, only the low side in the case of an extremely unlevel site. Chock the wheels that are still on the ground.

Well worth the money. I have been rv'n for 31 years this is the first fiver with auto level. When I buy again that unit will have auto level. Just like disc brakes another keeper.

It wasn't a big deal for me either. I could level the last 5er as fast as the auto-level. The new one has it and I found the big deal, 6 point leveling is much more stable. Plus I got rid of the 6t jack I hauled around. I can lift either side off the ground to change a flat easily.

To me it's not how fast it is but how stable and adds convenience. When I bought new tires I pulled it to the dealer, they grabbed a few floor jacks, and I said wait. The parking lot was level so I raised the entire rig off the ground with no problems. Even Lippert does that. Figure it out, the front jacks are rated 12k each, that's 24k. Th rears 8k each, that's 32k. That is 56k of capacity for a 14.5k rig. The pump might be a weak link on heavier units but mine did fine.

For many of us it is as "big Deal" particularly as you get older or have a disability.

We put auto level on the "must" list for our recent 5th wheel purchase. It is expensive but i think worth it. I LOVE being able to park, drop the front legs and unhitch, Hit the auto level button and by the time I have unlocked all the side doors its set and level, Slides out and party on...
