After 25 years of Appliance repairs there is a simple trick that's been used for years on standing pilot ovens and only takes one person. First you need a good 6" long or longer is better lighter, turn oven knob while holding it in to about 300 degrees or what ever temperature you need to bake at, light lighter and hold by pilot burner. The flame will light a little larger than pilot since you're calling for the oven burner pilot not just the pilot. Do not panic since the thermocouple takes at least 30 seconds to heat up hot enough to open the gas safely valve for gas to flow to the burner so you have time to be sure the flame stays on and close the oven door so oven can preheat.
Learned early standard matches are just about useless for lighting an oven. The extra long will work but not as good as gas lighter.
