Lighting the Pilot Light in an Oven
Why, by all that is holy, do ovens light in the back? It makes it a two person ordeal. If the pilot was in the front, or even half-way it would make a lighting the oven a lot easier.

I just sit my butt down on the floor, reach in with the long lighter in my right hand and push/hold in the knob with my left. Thirty seconds or less always gets the thermocouple hot enough to hold the flame. From previous threads I never realized so many folks actually use their ovens..... thought I was the only one. How can you do Prime Rib without the oven? :h
