Lighting the Pilot Light in an Oven
Why, by all that is holy, do ovens light in the back? It makes it a two person ordeal. If the pilot was in the front, or even half-way it would make a lighting the oven a lot easier.

Only time I have ever had problems lighting the oven was on a trip to Virginia when a howling azz wind somehow found its way into the oven and kept blowing out the flame on my fireplace "match" and the pilot light when it did light. Even with that it was still a one person operation...........
