LUBRICATION-LUBRICATION!! Also do not stop the slide until it is all the way in or out.
No stopping in between. On our bedroom there was some plastic from shipping that covered the carpet got hung up. The voltage I check is also good. Being level before extending or retracting.
Just had to replace ours in our 2013 WinnebagoMH Journey. 40u.
What exactly do we lubricate? At least on mine its almost entirely sealed up. With the slide out I have a thin small rail exposed along the sides and thats it.
Looked at the video but not sure I can get behind like it shows. - gmw_photosExplorer
- Itakethe5th2011Explorer III had the same problem a couple years ago. I would have to push the one side to get it going. I fix it by spraying the track and gears on each side. There is a good You Tube video on how to do it. I now do it every year or when it starts to slow down. No more problems.
- GaPeteExplorerPop-Pop C, I stand corrected. Will be lubing mine.

I purchased 2 but so far haven't had to replace them. $429.05 including tax and shipping when I purchased mine.
- jsr21ExplorerIt sounds like the voltage to the motors needs to be turned up. If your batteries are up and/or you're plugged in, the control box may need to be adjusted. The control box for the slide has little pegs that can be turned to increase voltage going to the motors. I had a bedroom slide on a Jayco Pinnacle that was doing the same as yours and adjusting the voltage at the control box totally cured the issue.

That's real helpful - NOT! He already owns one. He needs advice on how or what to fix. Not opinions on whether or not its any good. There are always plenty of satisfied owners who on most anything general outnumber the non-satisfied.
I don't own one. Judging from some of the scuttle I've read on here about them, I don't know if I ever will. If you do a search here or on most other RV websites, I'm sure you will get plenty of reading material. Good luck.

I would check the current going to the motors or see if someone can bench check the motors to see if they are weak. Lacking that, I would look for something that might be rubbing on the slide or something sticking, grabbing, settling, or misalignment. In other words, the slide not retracting into the proper position. - gmw_photosExplorer

I have a Schwintek bedroom closet slide and have not had any issues in 2 1/2 years since new. From the forums is appears the issues are with larger or heavier slides. My slide is short and rather light which few have trouble with.
My Schwintek slide has so far ( four years and a lot of use ) worked fine too. It's a large slide with dinette and fridge in it. Knock wood, I hope it keeps working well. A guess might be that some of the folks who report problems have sync problems due to failure to run it to it's in, or out limit each time it's used. And perhaps failure to hold the button down long enough, at the limit, for it to find it's zero point. - mileshuffExplorerI have a Schwintek bedroom closet slide and have not had any issues in 2 1/2 years since new.
