Having said that, 18 months ago I was hauling a friends 5er down to Florida because he didn't have a truck anymore. His rig had 12 year-old G614s. They looked brand new but I told him I wouldn't run tires that old on my rig at interstate speed. He was OK with the risk.
One let go and while it didn't do any exterior damage, the tread must have gone around a few times because it did interior damage. Broke through the floor into kitchen cabinets. It took a lot of effort, but he fixed everything himself.
