As long as you keep under your gross weights Truck & trailer (& don't overload) placement of gear is not that important in most fifth wheels. Keep in mind & yes they are designed for it but a toyhauler can have 2000 lbs difference usually in the back at times depending whether they are loaded. I do not notice that much difference towing empty or loaded.
Back to your question is every trailer is different axle placement is everything. Whether you put a few hundred pounds behind, in front or on a axle on a fifth wheel that weighs 10000 lbs you will more than likely notice no difference in towing. Different story on a small cargo trailer. 60% of weight should be in front of the axles on any trailer but designed into a camper..
