I run a Weight and Balance calculation - sum of weight at specific known points (ARM) from known Center of Gravity (CG) to calculate loaded CG - before flying my airplace (ok, not really "every" time, as I've done them many times and know what "normal" is) but now you're telling me I have to do a W&B before heading down the road in my 5er? LOL :D
I think if you really are curious, it might be a fun exercise with a trailer or 5er, but I think it would be more useful to just weigh empty and then fully loaded, determine if you're within safe weights (TV pin/rear axle, front axle, GCWR for TV and trailer) and know that anything you do between those weights is generally ok.
