Shop the dealers. We almost bought a Heartland Big Country a couple years ago. It was a new trailer that was left over model year. The MSRP was almost $80,000 and they had it sale priced at $47,000. It was an amazing trailer and an amazing price but we decided to pay our trailer down for a couple more years before trading.
Every company has the good models and the cheap models. We love our Cedar Creek but I have to say that I dont think it is nearly as well built as our old 1995 elcheapo Hornet was. Every year that passes the cheaper they start making them. My sister, and brother-in-law bought a new trailer 2 years ago. It spent last winter at the dealer trying to fix problems. This year it has spent the winter in Ohio at the factory fixing stuff the walls that are coming apart.
Last year their son bought a new trailer. They took at in for repairs 3 times last summer. and it spent half the winter in the shop.
