Lube plates

Yes I have had lube plate issues with my Hensley BD3

4 year old B&W with a MorRide pinbox with no problems.

I have had only one issue and that was my fault. I did not have the lube plate flush to the king pin and squished the plate between my B&W Companion and fhe king pin. Needless to say that one ended up in the garbage and now I make sure it's sits flush.

I've never had a problem with my Trailersaver but they warned me I might need a 1/2 thickness plate. (Which they sell. )

Never a problem with my Reese 16K twin jaw.

No problem with a new Reese Elite 18k.

When I ordered my Hensley BD3 air hitch I was told that I might need a thinner lube plate which Hensley sells. I ordered two three years ago and I still on the first one. No problems but I'm using what they suggested.

Have always used them on three different 5th wheels with no issues.

If it is to thick you need a thinner one. The ones you get at a RV place are to thick for my holland binkley head. I have to go to the hensley site and get a 1/8 thick one . Their air hitch has the holland binkley head so they make one to fit. Those heads don't have the slop all the other ones have the use the thick one. Here is the site:

Have you tried the Hensley 1/8" thick plate?
