No, for a couple reasons - 1) I believe I have adequate excess capacity. Figuring 20 percent of 14,000 pounds on the hitch, that leaves 11,200 pounds carried on the tires, which have a cumulative carrying capacity of 13,680 pounds. So that's about 22 percent excess capacity.
Also, I believe going to LR-G tires would mean I would have to buy new wheels as my current ones are not rated for the 110 psi requirement of the G rated tires. I would have no problem doing that if I thought I needed to, but based on my math above, I just don't think there's a reason to go down that path. But I WOULD do that in a heartbeat if I thought my current setup was not adequate, or the Maxxis tires were failing.
