Mice Issue

Anyone use a product called mouse free, you spray the product all over the under-carriage. Never had a mice problem until I took it to the dealer for service. It was there for 3 months and when I brought it home the mice came with it.

I have old school traps inside and out along with glue traps both inside and out. I've only caught 4 little guys and one full-size mouse. I also have these plug-in things in every room and in one large storage area.

This mouse free spray looks pretty good because it coats all the entry points but will it trap the ones left behind ???

The droppings are all but gone but I find it hard to believe there were only 5 in the camper unless the stuff called fresh cab I have thru-out the camper has run them all away.

Just looking for anymore ideas that don't cost an arm and a leg. Thanks...

    I had my RV right in my own driveway and for 4 years NO mice....then the acreage along side my property went from being an alfalfa field to a corn field and bamm I got mice right in my own driveway. Dang mice decided to store their corn 'inside' my gen and clogged it all up. :(

    Thanks, gonna try the lights on at night idea and that spray looks like the best bet.
    Here is another tip for preventing the litter buggers.

    There are many small openings on the underside of these coaches left by the manuf drilling holes for water, electrical etc.

    Go out at night and turn all your lights on inside the RV and then crawl underneath your RV and see where the light comes thru. I was shocked just how many small openings there were where mice could crawl thru but you wouldn't see. I plugged them all up with GreatStuff spray and never had any more problems.

    They now have one with pestblocker.

I dropped it off in November so I really wasn't gonna use it till spring anyway but the bigger reason I didn't press them was because I was having an RV Carport built and really didn't want it back until it was finished.

    In the end it all worked out great except for the extra passengers that came home with me. Lots of good ideas on how to get rid and prevent so I guess I will keep at and get them one at a time. I'm hoping that some of these scents I'm using will run them off because for now very few droppings compared to when I found them but I've only caught 5.

    Lesson learned........ I should have just assumed this could happen if only at the dealer for 2 weeks.

    Drier sheets, moth cakes and the peppermint scented things have worked well for us. Best to make sure there are no traces of food in camper. Go around and look underneath for any kind of opening and plug w/ steel wool. Lil buggers can fit thru an opening the size of a dime.

    Try putting the mothballs Outside the camper, around the wheels, tongue jack, and jack stands if you have them down. Anything that is touching the ground that mice could climb up.

    We use Irish Spring soap and Bounce sheets (original scent), and no mice. If nothing else, the camper smells great in the spring and the Bounce sheets seem to help absorb water.

    Also, if we run out of soap in the house, I know we have some in the camper... lol!

    Well this winter we used the mothball and bounce sheet theory. I also put poison in mouse size, wee things that only mice can get into and they ate that poison up like it was going out of style and then it stopped. No mice in the 5er but my wife sure doesn't like the remaining smell from the mothballs. One time we took 10 of the wee buggers for a 200 mile trip out of the Rockies to civilization and then caught them 2 at a time for 5 days with traps and peanut butter. Still can't find where they and one other have gotten into the 5er.I have fresh cab and peppermint oil to try also but the mothballs and bounce sheets and the poison seemed to have worked for now.

    I used Irish Spring soap that was recommended to get rid of squirrels running on top of my privacy fence and it WORKED! They claim Irish Spring is the only soap that will do the trick.

    Albeit I am sure you don't want to hear it but that is why you should 'never' leave your RV at a dealership.

    First of all you become the customer that they take care of last, they take care of the ones with appointments first and forget about the ones 'parked out back'. It's just a ploy to keep you from going elsewhere. Make an appointment and stick to it like the customers that got serviced while yours sat out back getting mice instead. :C

    A RV owner told me to take a bar of smelly soap, put in is a zip lock bag, and put some small holes in it. Put it in your RV all around. Mice hate it and will not come around. It worked for him.

    Any input about using soap from anyone?

    fresh cab works. keep setting traps with peanut butter. and hope you got them all. never heard of the spray, I use fresh cab and peppermint oil ,have no mice for years.I do set traps outside my rv and boats. and catch one now and then,
