I agree that pulling to the side while trying to lift up will cause the leg to bind. But like I said it may work if the inside of the leg is well lubed.
I use a dry graphite spray lube on my legs and stabilizers (and just about everything that needs lubed.)
BAD IDEA ! Graphite is actually an abrasive and not a lubricant. It has a low friction coefficient in low speed/low usage applications but will eat bearing surfaces if used on high speed or motor/axel applications.
