My 2014 3500 SRW has a max payload of 4,022 and towing capacity of 17,150. It is a extra cab SB Cummins. My truck is my daily driver and tows our 15,500 GVWR 5th wheel with payload to spare.

Recognize that even if you don't max out your gvwr you likely would overload your rear tires with a heay pin weight plus hitch weight. (3500 + 200 all on the rear tires)
