Lets see, the 17,100 pound rating.
OK. What pickup cab configuration and engine is that rating for?????
It may be for a regular cab, two wheel drive, gas engine vehicle.
If, and I suspect you did, get a crew cab diesel, that rating just got flushed with all the extra weight added to your vehicle.
